Cancer Support

What We Offer

Drop-In Centre

Trained staff and volunteers are always available to welcome anyone to the centre. They are there to sit and listen, when wanted, help in finding information, explain the services on offer and refer to a therapist when appropriate. Alternatively just call in for a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy our relaxing surroundings.

Information

We can provide information about all types of cancer and related issues including hospices, benefits and where to find practical support.

Counselling

A confidential counselling service, staffed by qualified counsellors.

Befriending

Friendly support, on a one to one basis, by trained staff and volunteers at the centre or in your own home.

Support for Children

A specialist counselling service for children who have been affected by cancer as a patient or the child/grandchild of a patient.

Coffee Mornings

An opportunity to meet others, share experiences and make new friends in a social setting. We aim to bring together people in similar situations for the mutual benefit of help and encouragement.

Complementary Therapies

Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and sound therapy can help to encourage relaxation and a sense of well-being which can be very beneficial to those whose life has been touched by cancer.

Art Group

Weekly art sessions provide escapism and the chance to try a new skill, whilst developing confidence and reducing stress.
